What is the Napa Valley Education Foundation?
Since 1983, the Napa Valley Education Foundation has been working hard as an independent non-profit organization with one mission – to raise private support for public school programs in the Napa Valley Unified School District.
Why is there a need?
With California ranking 47th out of the 50 U.S. states in per-pupil funding for education*, the Napa Valley Education Foundation adds to what government funding can do and what our 17,000+ students in this community really need. Our schools are under-funded and our students have less access to a variety of educational resources than students in other states have. The bottom line is that tax dollars alone cannot provide our students with everything they need and deserve.
